Background to the Principal Director of AeroSynergy
Eur Ing Andy Lyons C. Eng M I Mech E has worked in Aerospace since 1978; He started as a Graduate Apprentice at Westland Helicopters and became a Manufacturing Research Engineer.
In 1984 he joined the Royal Air Force and served as an Engineering Officer, mainly on C130 Aircraft. He rejoined the Westland Group in 1992 and after serving in Commercial, Project Management and Quality roles (in which he gained JAA Part 21 POA approval for the company) he became the Chief of Airworthiness for Westland Transmissions as a founder member of their design team. He wrote their Design Manual completely from scratch, and achieved Design Organisation Approvals under the, then, JAA requirements, converting that to EASA Part 21 approval in 2003.
Andy Lyons is a lead auditor and a CVE experienced in flight-critical mechanical systems.
AeroSynergy was founded in August 2005 to provide Airworthiness Consultancy Services.
